Team Background: Enrique, born in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, was raised in Albuquerque. While serving with the US Navy, he received Christ. After his tour of duty, he returned to Albuquerque and became active at Calvary of Albuquerque in the Spanish Ministry where he directed worship and later became the ministry's leader. Enrique graduated from the Calvary of Albuquerque School of Ministry and Shepherd School. Laura was raised in Bachiniva, Chihuahua, Mexico, in a Christian home and received the Lord at a young age. Enrique and Laura met while serving at the Calvary of Albuquerque Spanish Ministry and were married before leaving for the mission field in 2000.

Ministry Description:
Hello Family and Friends,
THANK YOU
We wanted to first and foremost thank God and give him all the glory for the prayers that were made on our behalf for the interview(s) that we had at the US Consulate. We want to thank you and say that your prayers were and are felt. We know that God works all things out for His own glory and we also know that God is Sovereign and He makes no mistakes. We love you and can't thank you enough for remembering us in your prayers. We also wanted to thank you for all your financial contributions and your selflessness in giving when we've needed it most. We know that it is by God's grace that we have been able to serve him for these past 7 (almost 8) years in Mexico and we also know that we could not have done it if it wasn't for your generous and faithful contributions. We want to thank our home church Calvary of Albuquerque and it's staff, as well as Better Together Mexico and it's staff for their covering and their backing on the mission field.
UPDATE
The first thing people have been asking is, "so what happened at the US Consulate?". Well, we had one meeting in March and the other on April 1st. The first meeting went better than the second. The first meeting gave us the hopes that all was in order and ready to go with the necessity of filing what we thought would be a cut and dry waiver. Well, we filed the waiver on the 1st of April and waited in Juarez until the 6th of April and the response was that we'd have to wait an additional 15 months for the final decision on our case. We were a bit saddened as we expected to receive Laura's residency on the 6th, but due to "whatever circumstances" we have been placed on hold. Well, what does this imply or mean for us? To wait and simply wait. Was DOES IT NOT IMPLY? It doesn't imply we put all things on hold. We have kind of felt that we have been on some sort of hold for awhile now. But as we began to seek the Lord and to ask his direction, his answer was the same: continue serving me & continue living for me. I don't know who said this but it has impacted my life a lot: "Wherever you are, be all there". Such truth! We can't put the plow in motion and then look back. We must continue serving God and this is our conviction.
NEWS
There are many opportunities and we want to be wise and most effective in the ministry opportunities that have arisen: We continue to work with Better Together Mexico and this has been the core of our ministry. We keep busy with visits to Madera city which include: prison, orphanage, old folks home and construction. We have been (occasionally) helping in a new church plant in Chihuahua City (Capilla Calvario de Chihuahua). There is a team there already and the work is excellent! We've been able to help in worship and in translation.
Family Life
The family has been doing well. Andrea, Aaron, and Adrian aka: Esteban is walking! Laura is doing well; she has been very busy at home with Aaron and Esteban and has been sooo helpful and encouraging in the ministry. She had an opportunity to serve as a translator in April when we were involved in a dental ministry brought by Better Together Mexico.
