Team Background: Mike was raised in a Christian home and came to a personal relationship with Jesus at age 13. When still in his teens he felt he was being called to train for some kind of ministry. He learned Spanish and was able to minister to youth from Mexico, Ecuador, and Columbia. After graduating Bible college in Arizona he felt led to involvement with Native American youth.

For over 28 years he and his wife Cora have been involved in Native youth ministry development roles. They have two adult children; Steve and Sara.

Ministry Description: Mike’s primary goal is to establish Great Commission youth ministry among Indigenous people. Through trust and relationships, some other aspects of his work includes encouraging, equipping and empowering Native youth and leaders. He is in partnership with many

Mike’s goals include grounding young people in relationship with Jesus, establishing relevant ministry in Native communities, and purposeful involvement in Trans-cultural Ministries.

Prayer Concerns: Pray that Native young people and their leaders will be blessed with God’s Spirit leading their lives. Pray that God will move mightily in weekly meetings, outreaches, and projects, opening hearts in personal evangelism. Pray that youth ministry workers will have good health and sustained strength for the task. Pray that God will shield ministry workers from harm and give them victory in overcoming spiritual darkness. Pray that laborers will be sent where needs are greatest and that God will provide for monthly support, transportation, and other supplies. Pray that God will lead youth and leaders to action in transcultural ministry. Pray that God will strengthen missionary family members and draw them closer to each other in the Lord. That Native young people are reached in the course of everyday life. Events like basketball tournaments, leadership network meetings, building projects and outreach teams all bring people together.
