Team Background: Kendall is a native of New Mexico and received the Lord in 1997. He attended the Calvary of Albuquerque School of Ministry in 2001-02 and after receiving additional training in linguistics and culture he became a full-time GA missionary to Panama in the fall of 2002 to minister to the Guaymi Indians in the state of Bocas del Toro. Virginia is Panamanian and received the Lord at the age of 7 and later rededicated her life at the age of 21. She trained as an intensive care nurse and worked for many years in Panamanian hospitals. Kendall and Virginia met while serving in a youth group retreat in Panama. They later married in 2005. Ministry Description: Festivals and holidays affect church attendance. We have seen a drop-off in attendance and summer break is coming up for the kids (summer months tend to affect the attendance here). Our summer is from December to March. Please keep this time in prayer. We continue serving at the church, Luz y Esperanza and our schedule has not changed. I am teaching on Sundays and Thursdays and we have discipleship classes on Tuesday night and Saturday night as well as Sunday after regular church services. Also our youth group meets on Sunday nights. The youth group was growing and we had about 25 young people in our Sunday night service. We praise God for that and will continue lifting this and all our ministries up to the Lord in prayer. Juanpi and Celia Mul are Word of Life missionaries that are working with us at the church; much of the success of our youth ministries is due to how the Lord is using them. However some of the young people, Harvey, Victor, Tony, Luigui, Jorman, Antonio, Carlos, and Romel no longer come to church, three of them do come to the summer activities. Romel was in jail during the Christmas holidays and some of the others are involved in drug activities. Of this group Cristian is the only one who has continued to walk with the Lord. He even helps out at with some church events. I thank the Lord for how He is forming teams to work together in reaching the Nations. Please keep us and our teammates in your prayers as well. One Tuesday Virginia and I went to visit an outreach to homeless people in the downtown area. It is run by a missionary couple that is from Korea and Peru (Daniel and Shirley Woo). After our visit and prayer we decided to partner with this ministry as a church. I will take charge of this ministry during April and May as the Woos visit Korea. This ministry would really benefit from more help. Our women’s ministry continues to move forward. The worship ministry is better now partly due to the audio visual equipment, but we are praying for musicians who are walking with the Lord. Thank you all for all your prayers and support. We appreciate all that each of you do so that we can continue serving in Panama. May our God richly bless each of you for your faithfulness. Blessings in Christ, The Browns, Kendall, Virginia, David, and Hannah Joy Prayer Concerns: • Pray for God to be glorified in our ministry at Luz y Esperanza and that a solid group of coworkers can be put into place. • That the Self-Confrontation and new believer’s classes will be effective and Spirit led. • For God’s continued provision of all our personal and ministry needs, including microphones, and a van. • For continued spiritual revival within both of us. • For our discipleship classes on Tuesday and Saturday nights. • For my teaching on Sundays and Thursdays. • For growth in attendance on Saturday nights' new believers and non-believing visitors. • For continued youth group participation on Sunday nights: especially for Harvey, Victor, Tony, Luigui, Jorman, Antonio, Carlos, Romel, and Cristian. • For women who may be unequally yoked in their marriage at this time and for the health of all women in the women’s ministry. • For continued improvement in the health of Virginia's mother's heart health. • For Virginia to have an increase in shifts at the hospital and continued opportunities to teach at the university. • For the ministry of Daniel and Shirley Woo with the homeless. • For Gods provision for Juanpi and Celia. • For God's ongoing healing hand for both Virginia's and my back problems.
