Team Background:
Karen was born in Oklahoma and raised in a Christian home were she received the Lord at the age of six. The family later moved to New Mexico. Karen has been a member of Calvary Albuquerque for over 16 years. After graduating from the University of NM with a degree in physical education, Karen served in full-time ministry in South Korea for two years teaching English. She then returned home and studied at the Columbia Biblical Seminary where she earned a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. After a time of preparation and teaching English as a Second Language in Albuquerque, Karen returned to serve full-time in Asia in the summer of 2002.

Ministry Description: Karen serves in a country in Asia that is not open to Christian evangelism. Karen is teaching English as a Second Language in a local university.

Karen reaches out with the gospel through friendship evangelism by developing personal relationships with students and teachers at the university.
