Missionaries: Location: Montreal, Canada Team Background: Bernadette Gonzales, a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, became a Christian at the age of 15. She participated for 7 years in Lifeline, a youth, missions and leadership training ministry of Calvary Albuquerque. As a Lifeline intern, Bernadette was involved in leading short-term trips and organizing evangelistic dramas. In 2001, Bernadette attended the Calvary of Albuquerque School of Ministry and after she graduated, she continued to be active in youth and missions ministries. In the Spring of 2006, she completed a TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) program. Bernadette began serving as a full-time missionary in Montreal, Canada with GA Missionaries Sebastian Frappier and Jason and Andrea Mills at Calvary Chapel Montreal, a church plant of Calvary of Albuquerque, in the Summer of 2006. You may write her at: 2085 Rue Bishop Ministry Description: Bernadette is ministering at Calvary Chapel Montreal in discipleship, prayer and assists with visiting short-term mission teams. She assists in the discipleship of women and will be leading the discipleship training of young adults. Bernadette also oversees and teaches in the children’s Sunday School ministry, co-leads the church prayer night and the Dialogue ministry. The Dialogue ministry is a discussion group which focuses on the practical application of the church’s Sunday’s sermon. Bernadette coordinates the ministry opportunities and trains church members to assist with the visiting short-term mission teams. While the teams are in Montreal, she oversees the care of the teams and facilitates schedules and outreaches. Bernadette will also use her acquired TESL skills as a tool to share the Gospel with nonbelievers.
