Team Background:

Carol had professed faith in Jesus Christ in college but it wasn’t until 1998 when the Lord sat her down and asked her “Are you ready to get serious?” that she committed her life to Jesus Christ.

From that moment, the Lord began to lay the groundwork in Carol’s heart for mission work. In 2001, Carol joined a tour of Israel hosted by Pastor Skip and Lenya and the Bible opened up in vivid technicolor for her. During the time in Israel, Carol learned about two special opportunities that the Lord used to change the course of her life. The first was a mission trip to Belize to distribute Christmas Shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse. The second was discovering Calvary Albuquerque had a School of Ministry.

Originally from California, Carol resigned her job and moved to Albuquerque in 2002 to attend the School of Ministry. During the School of Ministry, the Lord reaffirmed Carol’s calling to mission work. After graduating, Carol got a job in Albuquerque and volunteered in the Missions Department at Calvary as she waited on the Lord.

In October 2006, Carol moved to Boca del Rio, Sinaloa, Mexico for a year to serve the Lord in a small fishing village and train for cross-cultural missions work.

In November 2007, Carol moved back to northern California to help with a church plant but the Lord had other plans for Carol. He brought Carol back to Albuquerque in November 2008 and arranged a series of divine appointments that once again changed the course of her life.

Ministry Description:

Carol was accepted as a missionary by Wycliffe Bible Translators in December 2008. Her assignment is to the Seed Company, an affiliate of Wycliffe, whose pioneering methods accelerate the pace of Bible translation projects. Carol’s assignment is project facilitator for Eurasian and South American translation projects.
