Before we go into plans for 2012, we thought you might like to see how God moved in 2011 in online missions. Praise the Lord for what He is doing!

Discipleship Visits  4,507,155

What does this mean? More than 156 million people visited our gospel and discipleship websites. From those visitors, over 19 million indicated either a first time or recommitting decision for Jesus Christ! During 2011, 2.5 million people sent emails to our online missionaries. Something new for 2011, we began tracking visits to our discipleship websites and you can see we have already had more than 4.5 million visits.

Global Media Outreach, consistent with any Silicon Valley enterprise, made quantum leaps in 2011 in technology and operations. Internet numbers are hard to digest because of their size, but they are not our numbers. It is God who does the calling, we just put His Word out there for those who are seeking.  You can help reach them with your gifts in 2012. Think about starting a monthly gift to make it even easier!

The first new thing in 2012? On December 11 we saw the biggest response day in our history, presenting the Gospel to 2,066,971 people. This single day provides us with a glimpse of the future as spiritual hunger continues to increase in all 195 countries. 

No. 2 for 2012? Even more focus on discipleship. While evangelism remains a core competency, in 2011 we developed a laser focus on design and content for discipleship. In order to measure effectiveness in discipleship, we added that count to our real time daily stats rollup. The GMO Prayer letter expanded to 1,647,285 weekly.

No. 3 for 2012 - A new and easy way to step into online missions - The Prayer Wall on Godlife.com. Join the conversation and serve others by praying for the requests on the prayer wall, commenting on GodLife Chapel and becoming a part of our Facebook community! Encourage your friends and family to be a part of this growing online Christian community in 2012. You'll be seeing a lot more on this in the months to come, so stay tuned!

GMO February Update:

Hello Community,
Thank you for being a blessing in this MONTH OF LOVE!

Here are a few suggestions regarding "Mobile" contacts:
Did you know that some of these responses come when the contact is playing a video game on his cell phone and a GMO message comes up? These people tend to be young and living in the moment. The contact might not have been seriously seeking God at the time. But to maximize the opportunity, if possible:

• Please respond to mobi contacts within 24 hours. Respond to all new contacts within 48 hours. These first responses should not take a lot of time to write because you will start with a template, either your own or a GMO one.
• If they made a comment, address that first.
• Keep mobi responses short at least at first.   
• Pray.
• Always include www.godlife.com, because it automatically converts to mobi.

Steps of Discipleship is up and running now.  This is a great tool for developing discipleship relationships. These discipleship steps will eventually be developed for mobile contacts as well.
